I wanted to start a new post where we can post comments specifically about the web site creation. Our Storyboard is completed, so we can begin on our pages for our site (:
Also, I talked to a student from the EDT class that meets in person, and she said that they all had to work together to create this web page, therefore, we don't have to stick to the plan of each individual doing two pages by herself! I still think we should keep those assignments though so each individual is in charge of double checking two specific pages. So at the end of the project, I would double check and make sure everything is there for the two pages I was originally assigned. Does that make sense and sound good to you guys?
Yes, that sounds great to me! Have you started your pages yet? Today is my first day of have a couple hours of free time so I'm going to start mine now.
Would you guys maybe want to get together in person and work on our website at one point. I work doubles every day except Friday I only work until 430.
Unfortunately, my schedule is super hectic too and I don't have much time to meet. I only have like a half hour here, and an hour there :( If for some reason this web site is really difficult and we NEED to get together, I might be able to clear some time next Friday. This Friday I won't be able to though. I am planning on setting it up on Friday and start working on the pages Saturday. I want to get as much as I can done this weekend/early next week. Then next weekend we can focus on putting it together and tying loose ends!
I can meet up whenever, monday after 2:30 are good and fridays after 2:30 are good as well. tuesday and thursday i work both of my jobs. so those days are out of question.
I created a web site, but it was under my own account so I deleted it. Then I logged into the group email and I found the site that someone created. I am going to try doing some work on it this weekend!
Just a reminder, double check the instructions under Module 11 in eLearning. There is a lot of additional things we need to add into our website, so make sure we are giving ourselves enough time to include all of those things! We have to do our original resources as well as find 3 more websites. (And a few odds and ends here and there to finish it up).
Jess, did you have a chance to work on it today? I just have a couple of questions about what to do with the main info on the home page. How should we make our home page look? I think we can probably delete the stuff about like meet the teacher right?
Yea! Did you get my email? I was going to start on it earlier but I signed into Google sites with the email Kati posted and the web page is already done and for "Mrs. Smith's classroom"? I was so confused.
For now I am just working on my original resources but I do have some ideas for the homepage! I also have been trying to figure out how to edit the background and other features of our Blog so I can gear it more towards our topic since we are attatching it to our web site. I can't figure out how to do it though! Any ideas? I feel very un-tech savy right now
I just saw your email, sorry I didn't reply! I think we can just click and edit it. It is the template that Kati chose when creating the website, so I think everything is editable. I am not sure how to upload anything yet, I haven't tried. But I would just Google some help about editing Google sites and see if that helps! I am planning on uploading all of my stuff on Wednesday and working on it throughout the week and weekend.
